Verified through Product Hunt — not screenshots

Launch day is won in the first hour.Don’t face it with an empty room.

LaunchClan is a reciprocity network for founders launching on Product Hunt. Back the launches you believe in, get backed in return, and build a track record that proves you show up.

Early days. The network is small right now, which means the founders who join this week get matched with everyone rather than competing for attention. List your launch and you will be near the front of it.

The problem

Launching alone on Product Hunt is brutal

You post at 12:01am to an empty room

Product Hunt ranks on early momentum. Without a first hour, the algorithm decides for you before most of your audience is even awake.

Asking feels awful, and mostly fails

DMing your network for upvotes is uncomfortable, doesn't scale, and half of them forget by launch day anyway.

Upvote groups are chaos with no accountability

A Telegram group of 400 strangers is not a commitment. Nobody knows who showed up, so nobody has to.

You only get one launch day

There is no retry. Whatever momentum you have in hour one is the momentum you get.

How it works

Five steps, and the last one is automatic

  1. List your launch

Product, date, categories. This is what you bring — you can't back anyone without one.

  2. Back launches you mean it about

Browse founders launching near your date and in your space. Pledge to the ones you'd genuinely support.

  3. Mutual backing forms a pact

The moment they back you too, both obligations appear with their own deadlines.

  4. Launch day, one button

Your Today list shows exactly what you owe, with hours remaining and a direct link to the post.

  5. Verification is automatic

We check your Product Hunt account and mark it kept. Your trust score moves, and everyone can see it.

What you get

The hard part isn’t matching founders. It’s making them keep their word.

Mutual pacts

A pact forms only when you back each other. Two commitments, two due dates, both on the record.

Verified through Product Hunt

Connect once and we confirm support against your own account in a single query. No screenshots to upload, and none to fake.

Trust score with receipts

Bayesian scoring with recency decay. Every kept and missed commitment is public, with the raw counts beside the number.

Circles, not just pairs

Five to eight founders launching in the same window, all committed to each other. Ghosting burns every relationship at once.

Exposure meter

If their launch lands three weeks before yours, you carry that risk. We show the gap before you commit — and block the ones not worth taking.

Reminders in your timezone

Product Hunt days start at 00:01 Pacific. We remind you when you're actually awake, and again before your window closes.

Why verification matters

A screenshot is a claim. Your Product Hunt account is proof.

Get started

Activation never buys support. It unlocks matching capacity, your indexed launch page, and your report. The support itself is always founders choosing to back you — which is the only kind worth having, and the only kind Product Hunt permits.

Questions founders actually ask

Isn't this just an upvote exchange?
No, and the difference is structural rather than cosmetic. Money never touches an individual vote — activation buys matching capacity, a launch page, and a report. Founders are matched on category and audience fit, so the support comes from people who would plausibly care about your product. And you back launches yourself; nothing votes on your behalf, ever.
How do you verify an upvote without a screenshot?
You connect your Product Hunt account once. When a commitment comes due, we ask Product Hunt whether your account upvoted that post — a single query against your own consented data. It returns yes or no. There is no image to fake and nothing to review.
What if my pact partner never shows up?
It is recorded automatically when their window closes, and their public trust score drops. Because a pact is two commitments with separate due dates, we also show your exposure before you commit — how many days you would be waiting after paying your side — and block pacts where that gap is not worth the risk.
What if I keep my side but they never post their Product Hunt link?
Your obligation is waived, not counted against you. There was nothing you could have done, so it never touches your score. We also email them on launch day telling them that every commitment made to them is about to be lost.
How is the trust score calculated?
Bayesian smoothing with a six-month half-life. In practice: one kept commitment scores 81, not 100 — a single data point should not read as perfect. Five kept scores 91. A no-show costs roughly double a rejected proof. Scores only appear after three resolved commitments, and the raw kept/missed counts always sit next to the number.
What stops someone farming with fake accounts?
One Product Hunt account per member, enforced at connect time, and accounts newer than 14 days cannot form pacts at all. Since verification reads from a real Product Hunt account, a throwaway is useless — it has to be an established account that actually votes.
What is a circle?
Five to eight founders launching in the same window who all commit to each other, rather than a single pair. Six founders produce thirty reciprocal commitments instead of two — and ghosting burns six relationships at once, which is why people show up.
Does Product Hunt allow this?
Product Hunt prohibits buying or incentivising votes, which is why we do neither. What is exchanged here is a commitment between founders who chose each other on genuine fit — the same thing that happens when you ask a friend to take a look, with accountability attached. We do not sell upvotes and we do not build anything designed to evade Product Hunt’s own checks.

Your launch is coming either way.

The only question is whether anyone shows up for it. Start building your circle now, not the night before.
